Political leaders are a source of inspiration to many.  They represent the coexistence of forward looking vision and tactical determination.  Some of the world’s greatest political leaders have been responsible for guiding their nations through times of war, economic crisis, chaos, and confusion.  Due to the divisive nature of politics, it is inevitable that we will all find areas where we agree and where we disagree with just about any political leader.  The value that we can draw from their insights comes from imagining the mindset that each person was in when they said the phrases that have come to make them famous.  This will help us to learn the thought process that developed their philosophy … even if it is a philosophy that stands at odds with our own.
